“Shramdaan” – A Selfless Gift to Nature by CPWS Jodhpur Students

In a beautiful initiative to instill values of hard work, selflessness, and love for nature, our students from Classes 3rd to 8th came together for a noble cause – Shramdaan. Guided by their class teachers, the coordinator, our respected Principal Ma’am, and supported by the helping staff, the students actively participated in giving back to the environment without expecting any materialistic reward in return.

The day began with an inspiring school-wide Shramdaan activity. All students, from the youngest to the oldest, came together to clean and rejuvenate the school garden. With great enthusiasm, they removed weeds, cleared dry leaves, and helped in trimming the grass. Their efforts brought a new life to the garden, transforming it into a vibrant green space.

Classes 3rd to 5th took a step further by working on a kitchen garden filled with medicinal and biological plants. They not only planted seeds but also learned about the natural benefits of these plants and how they contribute to a healthy lifestyle. This hands-on experience made them feel more connected to nature and the concept of sustainable living.

Meanwhile, students of Classes 6th to 8th participated in seed and sapling plantation, understanding the importance of nurturing a plant right from its birth. Each sapling they planted carries their name and care, a living memory of the 2025-26 batch. These plants are not just greenery-they are a legacy that will continue to grow long after they leave the school.

It was a heartwarming sight to see students, teachers, coordinators, and even maids working shoulder to shoulder, united by one purpose – to serve Mother Earth with no expectations in return. This was not just an activity; it was a life lesson, teaching our children that Shram (hard work) when done with pure intention becomes Daan (a noble offering).

This initiative stands as a powerful reminder that with a little hard work and a lot of heart, we can give something meaningful back to nature. The seeds sown today will blossom into a greener tomorrow, forever rooted in the efforts and spirit of our 2025-26 students.
The activity began with the cleaning and beautification of the school garden. With great enthusiasm, students removed weeds, cleared dry leaves, and helped in trimming the grass. Their small hands, guided by big hearts, worked together in harmony, turning the garden into a refreshed, vibrant green space.

The highlight of the day was the planting of seeds – a symbolic gesture to show that even a small effort today can grow into something beautiful tomorrow. These plants will forever stand as a reminder of the 2025–26 batch and their contribution towards a greener world.

Together, we dream of a better tomorrow – and these young changemakers are making that dream bloom, one seed at a time.
