Career Point World School Jodhpur Empowers Students with POCSO Act Awareness Session

At Career Point World School Jodhpur, we strongly believe that every child deserves to feel Safe, Respected, and Cared for. To strengthen this belief, an Awareness Session on the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012) was recently conducted for students of Classes 3 to 12 by Ms. Manisha Lashkari, Principal & Chairperson of the POCSO Committee.

The session introduced students, in simple and age-appropriate ways, to the importance of the POCSO Act and their Right to Safety. Through real-life examples and discussions, children learned about personal boundaries, safe and unsafe situations, and the trusted adults they can reach out to when needed.

To provide a constant support system, the school has also formed a Child Safety Committee consisting of Teachers, Parents, and Student representatives. This committee ensures that every student’s voice is heard and that they always have someone to turn to with their concerns.

Child Safety Committee Members:

  • Chairperson: Ms. Manisha Lashkari (Principal)

  • Male Member: Mr. Maya Ram

  • Female Members: Ms. Lavleen Sharma, Ms. Vandna Gupta

  • Student Representatives: Master Devyanshu Singh (Boy), Ms. Lokeshna Patawat (Girl)

  • Parent Representative: Ms. Manisha Soni

Why It Matters:
This initiative goes beyond academics. It empowers children to speak up, ensures they feel protected, and builds a culture of trust and openness. Together, we believe in nurturing not just academically bright, but also emotionally secure and confident individuals.
