Our Class 1 students recently embarked on a delightful and enriching field trip to Sri Krishna Balaji Gaushala, accompanied by their class teacher, two staff members, and a caring maid. A group of 22 excited children set out to explore the serene environment of the Gaushala and learn about the important role it plays in nurturing and protecting cows.
During the visit, the students had the unique opportunity to observe how cows are lovingly cared for -from feeding and grooming to maintaining a clean and healthy shelter. They learned that in Indian culture, the cow is revered as a sacred animal and lovingly referred to as “Gau Mata” (Mother Cow), symbolizing nourishment, kindness, and motherhood. The visit helped the children understand the values of compassion, responsibility, and respect for all living beings.
Adding an element of surprise and excitement, the children also got to see Snakes during their visit – a rare and fascinating encounter that filled them with curiosity and wonder. Guided by the staff, they observed the reptiles safely, making it a thrilling and educational experience.
The short outing turned into a meaningful journey filled with smiles, learning, and heartfelt moments. The visit not only deepened the children’s appreciation for animals and nature but also connected them to the cultural roots that celebrate harmony with all life. It was truly a day to remember for our young explorers.
