At Career Point World School, Jodhpur<\/strong>, we believe in taking learning beyond the classroom. Our Class 9 and 10 students<\/strong> recently enjoyed an educational field trip<\/strong> to the beautiful Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park<\/strong>, located near the famous Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This special park, spread over <\/span>72 hectares<\/strong>, is home to <\/span>desert plants, ancient rocks<\/strong>, and <\/span>ecological restoration<\/strong> work. It was created in 2006 and opened to the public in 2011 as a way to <\/span>bring back native plant life<\/strong> and <\/span>protect the region’s natural heritage<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the students walked along the well-marked trails, they saw unique rock formations<\/strong> made of volcanic rocks, sandstone, and welded tuff <\/strong>– some of which are over 700 million years old <\/strong>! These rocks have been declared National Geological Monuments of India<\/strong> by the Geological Survey of India.
<\/span><\/p>\n

During the trip, guides and teachers explained how Desert Ecosystems<\/strong> are restored and why Native plants and rocks<\/strong> are so important for the environment. Students also learned about Geology<\/strong>, BioDiversity<\/strong>, and how nature teaches us about the Earth\u2019s History<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The students enjoyed exploring the trails, taking photos, and asking lots of questions. It was a fun and educational experience that brought their science lessons to life. They returned to school with new knowledge<\/strong>, fresh thinking<\/strong>, and a greater love for nature<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
