PERSONAL GROOMING WORKSHOP
This workshop was conducted by Mrs. Indu, Miss Kavita & Mrs. Anita on April 5, 2014 for the students of classes I to V. The Mentors made the students aware of the fact that a well-groomed person is attentive to details, organized and self-disciplined – at least that is the assumption and a polished appearance and sophisticated demeanor create a great impression, while a positive image builds confidence and the attractive public persona necessary for work and social success.
KNOWING SCHOOL SYSTEM
This workshop was conducted by Mr. Mohit & Mr. Navin on April 5, 2014 for the students of classes VI to XII. The Mentors focused on the main goal of having students know their school systems.
GOAL SETTING WORKSHOP
Mrs. Vaibhav conducted it on April 11, 2014 for the students of classes VI to XII. The objective of this was to help the students set their goals higher and fulfill it through an organized process.
AN IDEAL ROUTINE
Mrs. Indu, Mrs. Rohina, Mrs. Premjit & Mrs. Varsha conducted this workshopthrough a skit presented by mentors on April 11, 2014 for the students of classes I to V. They displayed importance of maintaining an ideal daily routine of meditation, academic work, meals, exercise, and rest. They focused on the fact that adhering to an ideal daily routine also helps develop the skill of time management – the ability to use time effectively for greater efficiency in action.
PARENTAL CARE WORKSHOP
This workshop was conducted by Dr Reena Bhansali on April 12, 2014 for Parents of grade Nursery to V students. Dr Reena shared the silent problems of children they face and do not share with parents. How parents should understand the need of a child and observe his behavior, changes in his behavior etc. She also focused on the diet of growing children. This was an interactive workshop where parents got the platform to clear their doubts and could get an environment to think with different mind set..
COMMUNICATION SKILLS WORKSHOP
Ms Amrita & Ms Kavita organized this workshop on April 15, 2014 for the students of std. VI to X. The Mentors aimed at equipping students with the interpersonal skills that are absolutely vital for classroom and school situations. It focused on having positive, constructive interpersonal communication.
A LIFE STYLE WORKSHOP
This workshop was conducted by Mrs. Indu & Mrs. Premjit on April 19, 2014 for the students of std. I to V. The Mentors made the students aware of the fact that a key to being a successful student is to have clear goal and a well-balanced lifestyle that provides the opportunity for them to achieve their goals. They were introduced different life styles around them that helped them to understand their desired life style and to put sincere efforts in the desired direction.
BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP
This workshop was conducted by Mr. Gaurav Tyagi on July 14, 2014 for the students of std. VI to XII. The Mentor explained the students various ways to demonstrate respectful behavior in their actions and words. Why it is important to observe our own behavior and manage it according to situations.
MANNERISM WORKSHOP
Ms Amrita Singh conducted this on July 14, 2014 for the students of std. I to V. The Mentor had packed the workshop with the key essentials of Greeting, Introduction, Politeness, Sensitivity, Respect, Communication and many more. She reinforced social behavior with relevant examples.
ANGER MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP
Mr. Vishal Malani organized this workshop on July 15, 2014 for the students of grade VI to XII. The objective was to help participants challenge their negative thought processes and learn appropriate ways to express their feelings. Control the temper in adverse situations and not to lose peace of mind.
FIRST-AID WORKSHOP
This workshop was conducted by Mrs. Jyoti Tomar on July 15, 2014 for the students of classes I to V. They learnt the basic First-Aid; what action should be taken if one get injured, one starts vomiting, gets fractured his/her leg or hand, bleeding starts, gets unconscious or having high fever etc. The aim was to enable children share and use the same in their day-to-day life if required.
"SAY NO TO DRUGS" WORKSHOP
This workshop was conducted by Ms Abhisweta Khetani on July 16, 2014 for the students of grade VI to XII. It aimed at making students aware about the harmful drugs and how do they get addicted, how to keep ourselves safe and save life by saying NO to drugs.
DRESSING SENSE WORKSHOP
Mr. Navin conducted this on July 16, 2014 for the students of grade IV to VIII. Objective of this interactive workshop was to bring awareness in children for their appearance. Why is it important to look presentable and what should they do for the same. What difference does it make if they are not dressing up properly or they do?
VALUES AND ETHICS WORKSHOP
This workshop was conducted by Mr. Walid on July 17, 2014 for the students of grade VI to XII. This workshop was designed to explore individual and institutional values. The session utilized a variety of approaches, including personal activities, case studies, and group work, with the common theme.
BODY LANGUAGE WORKSHOP
This workshop was conducted by Mrs. Rohina on July 17, 2014 for the students of classes I to V. The aim behind this was to explain them how their body does communicate and why proper body language is important with our verbal communication and how does it help in being successful.
LEARN FROM MISTAKE WORKSHOP
Mrs. Guddi conducted the workshop on July 18, 2014 for the students of grade I to V with the objective to make them learn to turn every mistake into a success by making it a learning opportunity for growth not to get de-motivated and stop putting efforts.
WRITING SKILL WORKSHOP
Ms Abhisweta Khetani organized this for the students of grade IX to XII on July 26, 2014. The aim of this workshop was to help the students assess their current writing skills, set goals for improvement and apply tools and techniques to enhance their writing skills.
LEARNING SKILL WORKSHOP
Ms Abhisweta Khetani conducted this on August 4, 2014 for the students of grade VI to XII. The Mentor stated that these skills are different from person to person. If the learners really wish to get results in higher percentage they need to analyze their current learning skills and then find out the problems why they are not getting 100 % results. They should at the same time observe their effective learning skills and put these in to practice for excel.
KNOW YOUR SKILLS WORKSHOP
This workshop was conducted by Mrs. Rohina on August 4, 2014 for the students of grade I to V. She unwrapped this workshop by stating that knowing what your skills are, is very important not just for getting work done, but how do you want to enhance your skills & get the maximum benefits of these. This workshop helped the students learn what the skills are and how one can discover their own skills and use them towards their goals.
